In September 2011 I decided to book another MD-11 flight on KLM. I booked a ticket to Montreal. Departing on day 1, departing back to Amsterdam on day 2, which would make it a 26 hour stay in Montreal (CYUL/YUL) before returning home. A month before my trip I heard the sad news that KLM would start to retire the first MD-11s in Q2 of 2012. It would look like PH-KCH/KCI would be the first aircraft to bite the dust. From this moment I was hoping to fly the KCH and KCI of course to YUL.
My flight to YUL was on PH-KCK, my 5th KLM MD-11 out of 5 flights, not a bad score huh! 🙂 No windowseat but Eco + aisle seat this time.
